GALERIE D'ART L'ARCADE

The art gallery "l'arcade", located in the heart of the bastide of Saint-Clar offers an exhibition space in a historic building with an interior courtyard combining iron and glass. The gallery hosts monthly exhibitions of paintings, sculptures and photographs in eclectic styles. Welcome to "l'Arcade", an art gallery located in the heart of the Lomagne Gersoise, which was renovated on the initiative of the town hall of Saint-Clar in January 2017. We have come a long way since the Communauté de Communes Bastides de Lomagne proposed to the commune of Saint-Clar to take over these superb premises! Previously, the closing of the "Galerie de Toutes les Couleurs" had left a lot of regrets to the art lovers of our territory and Saint-Clar had the will to follow in the continuity by dedicating to art this beautiful exhibition space. Thus, under the impetus of some Saint-Clarais art lovers, an association was created in the winter of 2017, determined to revive this place, renamed "l'Arcade", in order to make Saint-Clar a high place of spiritual nourishment Why the name "l'Arcade"? First of all, because our gallery overlooks the largest arcade in the town hall square. Older Saint-Clar residents will recall that at the corner of this square there used to be a café-restaurant called "l'Arcade" During the first season, in the summer of 2017, four artists with very different and very assertive talents followed one another. The success of the first season confirmed our approach, and this year we will have the pleasure of presenting five equally eclectic exhibitions from the end of May to the end of October.
