The Church of Le Pin, in Ayzieu, is a Romanesque building with a half-timbered bell tower.

Romanesque church from the 11th century, reworked several times during the Middle Ages Collection " Armagnac Confidentiel, secret stones and gourmet vines in the Armagnac region " Secrets of stones This chapel is surprising because of the way its walls are built: stone and brick have been mixed together during the course of construction. It suffered significant destruction during the Wars of Religion and the passage of the Huguenots, around 1569, as reported in this text of the time: "the divine service was done by a vicar as was customary, but not so honorably because the churches were ruined and burned by the people of the said religion. The three large pointed arches, still visible, led to chapels which have now disappeared. The wood and stone construction that borders the building was probably used, under the Ancien Régime, to store the products of the tithe. Spirit of the place "A beautiful presence, on its mound of earth, which dominates the plateau between the valleys of Midou and Douze, which will unite further on, in the heart of the Landes capital. But a height well below the hill of Catalan, whose memory is populated with witches and brigands, and from which, it is said, on days of beautiful light, one guesses the cloud that rises from the Atlantic shore. At Le Pin, the view is potentially unobstructed, if its oak and chestnut trees did not block it. But the site is enough, for those who know how to discover it, to express all the poetry of which Bas-Armagnac abounds, in what it has of more dashing, of fresh and mysterious. The small walled garden bordered by clay slopes, the romantic path that leads to the river and the pond and crosses the flight of the goshawks. The fragrance of the ferns and porcini mushrooms that combine in autumn with the nectar of the grape harvest. The road that curves around the muffled slope of a soft earth that in places enchants the landscape with its incredibly tawny light. "Bruno SIRVEN, Arbre & Paysage 32. Nearby Go to the nearby village of Estang to discover the Jean Bartherotte bullring, temple of the Landes race. Built from 1901, in the shade of a hedge of hundred-year-old plane trees, they are entirely covered and registered in the inventory of the Historic Monuments since November 15th, 1993.
