The Maladrerie Saint-Lazare is a remarkable example in France of the hospital architecture of the 12th and 13th centuries Visitors can stroll along the stonework and alleys and discover the Romanesque chapel, the medieval-inspired garden squares, the barn and its roof frame.

An almost unique example of 12th and 13th century hospital architecture in France, the Maladrerie Saint-Lazare is now open to the public. Unique in its kind for the richness of its buildings, this heritage jewel has retained its three distinct parts: the farm to the north, the monks' dwelling and Romanesque chapel in the center, and the patients' enclosure to the south. From spring onwards, visitors can also stroll through the paths of the medieval-inspired garden. In fine weather, the friendly atmosphere and magic of the site add to the charm of festive family events such as the Malices et Merveilles street arts festival (3rd weekend in August) or, for garden lovers, the Journées des plantes (2nd weekend in September).
