Fromages de chèvres du Rove et de brebis corses

France > Occitanie > Aveyron > 12140 > Entraygues-sur-Truyère > La Borie de Banroques

Sales of farm goat's and ewe's cheese on the markets in Entraygues on Friday morning and Wednesday night during the summer as well as on the market in Rodez on Saturday morning. Possibility to buy at the farm.

The Chèvre de Rove, this rare breed of goats originates from the village of Rove, close to Marseilles. It surprises because of its ears, naturally 'broken', its large horns, it's brown or red coat and its rustic character. On the sunny hillsides of the Lot valley, the goats are out to pasture all year round eating a diversity of vegetation, often aromatic, including heather, common heather, broom, brambles, tansy, achillea and grasses. The milk is then transformed respecting traditional methods and the standards in force.
