VTT Carladez : Le plateau de Thérondels

Departure : Thérondels A bucolic walk through the bocage landscape north of Thérondels and beautiful views of the Monts du Cantal. On the menu of this itinerary which goes between Siniq in the west and Hirondelle in the east, pastures, cultures (discover the workshop of identification of the cereals cultivated in the area along the way), and the agricultural hamlets of Casternac and Fieux before joining the village of Thérondels. And in case the weather gets bad, it will be easy to shorten the stage as you wish or almost! POINTS OF INTEREST : - On the plateau at almost 1000m altitude, the village of Thérondels consists of beautiful houses and basalt and slate roofs, a "soft mountain spirit", its Romanesque church is open and its 12th century wooden Christ is remarkable. - At the end of your journey, don't miss to discover on foot the small loop of the path of the imagination "and the farmer created the meadow", short and easy 1,7km, you pass then in front of the cheese cooperative in Thérondels (its cheeses of country: Cantal, Thérondels, the aligot,...)
