Jean-Claude Malosse and his son Benoît have been growing Barbentane figs in their family for generations. Anxious to offer consumers a quality product, their fig trees are surrounded by hedges of shrubs where insects nest and provide the trees with the elements they need to give the fig its full flavor. The black fig of Barbentane is a local variety, produced on the said commune. Rounded and slightly flattened, its purple skin with black stripes contains a tender and sweet pink flesh. There are no less than 700 varieties of figs, and the locals will tell you - without any pretension - that the Barbentane variety is obviously the best! La cabane de Marius offers you a sale of local products, near the Arènes de Barbentane. Holder of the High Environmental Value (HVE) label, which meets precise specifications, the shop is located near the family farm of 20 hectares. It therefore offers a clean seasonal production.
