Jardin de Vignes du Mesnil sur Oger : Le Clos Saint Vincent

A sort of Mesnil-style "Walk of Fame", Saint-Vincent Square pays tribute to the village's stars: its winegrowers. Located in the heart of the old town of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, it's a vineyard garden with a large tasting table offering a breathtaking view of the Clos du Mesnil, a prized parcel of Champagne land owned by Champagne Krug. On the floor, engraved stainless steel hands represent 45 local winegrowers and Champagne merchants, including Maison Krug, Delamotte and Salon. Quite a symbol, given the importance of manual labor in Champagne production: 500 hours per hectare! This vineyard garden also celebrates the two other fundamental elements of Champagne: terroir, via an XXL fresco representing the village's "lieux-dits", and the Champagne grape varieties, via an aroma garden allowing visitors to discover the 3 Champagne grape varieties through their 3 wine ages (youth, maturity and fullness).
