HOTEL DE VILLE ET KIOSQUE

France > Grand Est > Meuse > 55700 > Stenay > Place de la République

The town hall was built in 1935 on the site of the former 17th century court, which was then too narrow to serve as town hall. Above the large bays of the wedding hall is represented the coat of arms of the town, surmounted by an astonishing devil's head, smiling at those who would seek the origin of the name Stenay . The kiosk, surmounted by a lyre, was built in 1894 in place of buildings, the common oven and the hall built in the Middle Ages.
