Built in the 16th century, this mansion belonged to François de Chastenoy, squire and adviser to the Duke of Lorraine Charles III (1545-1608) This residence was built in depth and consists of three buildings and two interior courtyards. The first courtyard has a remarkable spiral staircase leading to the galleries with their openwork balustrade The decoration of the door on the street, flanked by two pilasters surmounted by lion heads, is inspired by Antiquity. The mascaron at the top of the door is said to represent either a medusa's head or the head of François de Chastenoy's wife. The corners of the door are also decorated with branches. Finally, on the pediment, the arms of François de Chastenoy and his wife were once sculpted. Only seen from the outside.
