URBANISME DU DEBUT DU 20EME SIECLE

Itinerary of the CAUE (Conseil d'Architecture, d'Urbanisme et d'Environnement) of Meurthe-et-Moselle Built in 1901 by several renowned architects, rue Félix Faure is a perfect illustration of turn-of-the-century architecture. Different principles governed its construction: the alignment of the buildings, the arrangement of the ridge parallel to the street, a homogeneity in height and the presence of a small garden in front of the houses. The street is composed, among other things, of an art nouveau building, a classical building and buildings highlighting the singularities of certain architects: the picturesque, the interior/exterior relationship and the play of openings.
