France > Grand Est > Meurthe-et-Moselle > 54410 > Laneuveville-devant-Nancy > 167 rue Lucien Galtier

Located in the heart of the Domaine de Montaigu and adjacent to the Féru des Sciences, the Château de Montaigu is a residence dating from the 18th century, redesigned in the 19th and 20th centuries. Its last owners, Édouard & Suzanne Salin, lived there from 1920 to 1970. With the help of the decorator Adrien Karbowsky, they made it the setting for their exceptional collection of art objects, paintings, sculptures, musical instruments and furniture. Edouard Salin preserved and promoted his archaeological discoveries from his excavations of Merovingian sites. This house of a scholar, who was at the same time a blacksmith, an archaeologist and a collector, has obtained the label "Maisons des illustres".
