Built in 997, the castle passes in the temporal of the bishop of Verdun. It suffered numerous sieges by the Messins, Charles the Bold and the Huguenots. The building consists of a large polygonal enclosure dating from the 10th century with 7 circular towers and a square tower. The complex, which was redesigned in the 16th century, is nestled in the middle of houses leaning against its 20-metre high walls. This visit is now made only once a year on the Sunday of the Heritage Days in September, in a festival organised by the municipality: the ramparts, the church, the convent, the castle... Everything is free and with a guide.
