ÉGLISE SAINT-JEAN-BAPTISTE

France > Grand Est > Moselle > 57170 > Château-Salins > Rue Maréchal Joffre

The church was built between 1868 and 1893 in neo-gothic style. It has a beautiful 18th century organ, which comes from the Abbey of the Premonstratensians of Salival (5km south-east of the town, in the direction of Moyenvic) and was completely restored in 1995. The Pierre de la Peste (1860), placed at the entrance of the cemetery, recalls the terrible epidemic that wreaked havoc during the Thirty Years' War.
