SENTIER DE MÉMOIRE

This tour, realized jointly by the Communities of Communes of the Saulnon and the Saulnois, retraces the tank battle of Arracourt and surroundings: one of the most important of the Second World War. This site was the scene of a violent confrontation between American tanks and German panzers between September 18 and the end of October 1944 This path, realized within the framework of the 60th anniversary of this battle, allows a good understanding of the facts through panels arranged in 12 communes. It passes through the communes of Arracourt, Réchicourt la Petite, Bezange la Petite, Lezey, Juvelize, Ley, Moncourt, Coincourt, Parroy, Bures, Bathelémont and Valhey Itinerary on www.ccsanon.fr, it is advised to follow this circuit with a motorized vehicle because of its distance.
