The Necropolis gathers 1,151 exhumed bodies from the territories of Vergaville and Guébestroff, divided into 2 ossuaries and 189 individual tombs. These are soldiers of the 15th corps who fell in the fighting of 19 and 20 August 1914. Of these bodies, 962 are unidentified and buried in two ossuaries. In these two ossuaries, the French and Germans were not separated because of unidentification Apart from the burial of the soldiers who fell on Dieuz soil, a large part of this cemetery is reserved for the burial of 821 Romanian soldiers taken prisoner by the Germans and brought as labourers to the region in 1917. A monument erected in the middle of the graves is dedicated to the memory of these soldiers who died in captivity in the region during the years 1917 and 1918. The Romanian cemetery was inaugurated on September 12, 1920.
