The Chapelle du Suisse was built in 1865 and is the subject of a lovely walk in the forest (departure from the Tourist Office) offering beautiful panoramas of the Meurthe, the Petite Meurthe and the hills of Anould. It is also a place of devotion conducive to meditation and reflection. Inside, a statue on the altar and a painting copied from Murillo indicate that the chapel is dedicated to the Virgin Nearby there is an imposing Calvary and a statue of Christ almost as large as life This building owes its name to its founder: Jean-Joseph Vincent, a Swiss from the parish of Fraize born in 1811. Very pious, he had this chapel erected to mark his devotion to Our Lady.
