The path of Haut de la Soie is lined with ferns and calunes (Vosges heather). You walk along a rocky bank characteristic of this area of the Piedmont. During your ascent it is possible to observe the Abbey in the distance, on your left Saint Sauveur is located on the first foothills of the Donon massif and dominates the Lorraine plain. This perched village is surrounded by deep valleys and by the forests of Bousson and Grand Cheneau. The end of the Haut de la Haie trail can be slippery in rainy weather.
