Situated on the first foothills of the Vosges mountain range, the Saint-Quirin forest occupies 4,152 ha and offers unlimited space for hiking. To the north and west, the relief is made up of hills and plains, while the Vosges mountains lie further south. A wide variety of landscapes are to be discovered thanks to an altitude which varies from 275m to 720m. The forest today is mainly composed of coniferous trees: firs, pines, spruces (65%), but also beeches (20%) and oaks.
