After studying sculpture at the National School of Fine Arts in Bourges, Michèle Raymond has participated in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad. Her subject is the human body.
Statuettes dressed in ample colored clothing, standing on a base, have been distributed via trade shows, boutiques and galleries. In parallel, she practices drawing and modeling of nudes where she plays with anatomy. She distorts and amplifies the volumes thus freed from figuration in order to create a sculpture of shadow and light. Her stoneware is fired in wood at 1300 degrees.
