This door symbolizes the passage from the past to the future. In ancient Rome, Janus is a god with two heads: one looks behind it, to the past and the other looks ahead, to the future. Presentation of the artist and his approach: Giovanni Carosi was born in 1953 in Norma near Rome, Italy. A goldsmith in Florence, he then moved to Paris in 1983 where he learned sculpture at the School of Visual Arts in Elancourt. The sculptor's favorite themes are the variation of you and me as well as duality and fusion. Through his creations, he combines abstraction and emotion.
