Each part symbolizes one of the eleven delegated communes of Mauges-sur-Loire. Thus, the work represents the link uniting these eleven entities composing the new commune of Mauges-sur-Loire. Presentation of the artist and his approach: Born in 1960, Véca begins the sculpture in 1990. Self-taught, he works as well with metal as with wood. His work is marked by a permanent search for beauty, harmony of lines and curves. Description : HARA (11 wood species and steel rings) This circular sculpture is made of several wood species showing 11 different parts, each symbolizing a delegated municipality. The sculpture represents the link between those 11 entities forming the new commune of Mauges-sur-Loire. Presentation of the artist and his/her approach : Born in 1960, Véca began sculpting in 1990. He is a self-taught man and he works metal as well as wood. His constant aim is to reach beauty, together with lines and curves harmony.
