Micro-Folie

Micro-Folie is part of a global cultural project supported by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication and coordinated by the Etablissement public du Parc de la Grande Halle de la Villette. Housed in the former Palace Carnot cinema, in the heart of the city center, this local cultural venue is centered around a digital museum and art gallery, bringing together several thousand masterpieces from numerous national museums and institutions, and offering a unique cultural experience free of charge. Each week, discover a collection or selection of works combining all art forms: painting, dance, music, song, theater and visual arts, projected as a slide show on the giant cinema screen. Thanks to our digital tablets, you can discover the masterpieces and their additional content at your own pace, as well as complementary works and even mini-games to pique everyone?s interest! The facility also features a virtual reality and social area. 3 virtual reality helmets are available on request (from age 13), giving access to cultural content offered by Arte. For example? Immerse yourself in works of art such as Monet?s Les Nymphéas, a climb up Mont-Blanc or a reconstruction of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii. The program offers a wide range of activities and events, including screenings, lectures, creative workshops and fun activities for all ages! A program of artistic and cultural education is also available for school groups or associations wishing to take guided tours with the Micro-Folie mediator.
