Embraced by the Moselle and the Seille, its tributary, Montigny-lès-Metz is the 3rd largest city in the Moselle department. A residential town of more than 23,500 inhabitants, its religious, military and railway history has left a strong mark on the urban landscape. Its banks have been developed, one into an alley reserved for pedestrians, the other into a bicycle path, to allow everyone to stroll along the water's edge.
