A mixture of red brick and stone, the belfry is 75 meters high. Above the central balcony sits an equestrian statue of Louis XIV who bought the city from the English in 1662. A large stained glass window representing the triumphant return of Jean Bart after his victory at the battle of Texel in 1694 illuminates the belfry. 1 elevator and 65 steps higher, admire the carillon.
