Attention metal fans: Barbeuk Metal Fest returns to Champtoceaux on August 23 & 24 for its 2nd edition! Just 30 minutes from Nantes, this festival on the banks of the Loire offers a unique rock and metal program to round off the summer in style. From small local French bands to American giants, the program is varied and accessible to all. Hard rock and heavy metal will be the order of the day on Friday, August 23: Burning Witches - Heavy metal - SWITZERLAND Crossplane - Heavy Metal - GERMANY Holy Mother - Heavy Metal - USA Octane - Rock Metal - Laval (53) The Blast Wave - Heavy Metal/Hard Rock - Lannion (22) Vilebrequin - Fat rock - Vignoble Nantais (44) And then there's extreme metal on Saturday, August 24: Heathen - trash metal - USA Gama Bomb - trash metal - IRELAND Dust Bolt - trash metal - GERMANY Hiraes - death metal - GERMANY Shrapnel - heavy metal - UNITED KINGDOM Antagonism - trash metal - Toulon (83) Anthares - heavy metal - Morlaix (29) Tanork - death metal - Rennes (35) A jam-packed program to discover the banks of the Loire and vineyards during the day, and enjoy exceptional concerts by talented bands in the evening. A DJ will be present on both evenings, playing rock and metal vinyl from 0.30am to 2am. On Saturday, there are several ways to enjoy the Loire, the ancient medieval town of Champtoceaux and its vineyards: - 10:30 am: vineyard tour with gourmet picnic prepared by Maison Crand and wine tasting at Domaine des Galloires in Drain / Limited to 15 people and upon registration, 16?/person - 11 a.m.: cruise on the Loire aboard the Bateau La Luce with an exceptional concert by Andy L. Hawkins Official / Limited to 40 people, 16?/person upon registration. A friendly drink will be offered at the Guinguette des Folies d'Orée at the end of the cruise - 12pm: canoe trip down the Loire with L.A. Kayak, with the option of a gourmet picnic stop on a Loire island to enjoy the peace and quiet of the river before the big night of concerts / Registration required, 9?/person - 2pm: a new cruise on the Loire aboard the Luce, to the sound of DÏE MORG / Limited to 40 people, on registration, 16?/person. A friendly drink will be offered at the Guinguette des Folies d'Orée at the end of the cruise And for those who don't want to leave the festival, there will be plenty of activities and games available on site: tug-of-war, tumbling contests, shuffleboard, molky... An oyster and Muscadet bar will be open from 11:30 am. On-site catering will be 100% homemade and local, and as a little extra, breakfast is included in the price of your pass to make this festival an unforgettable experience! Car and camper parking will be available throughout the festival, as well as a camping area Please note that this is a small-scale festival.
