GÎTE LA BERGERIE DU LOGIS

Situated in a medieval architectural complex, this gîte, housed in a former 19th-century sheepfold, will appeal to lovers of history and old stones. You can visit the site's special features, including the dovecote and a large underground room which were used as sets for the film "The Man in the Iron Mask". The large interior spaces are particularly popular with our guests. You'll be able to spend convivial moments in peace and quiet. Our sheep and donkeys are delighted when children come to bring them bread. And depending on the season, a basket of fruit or vegetables will be waiting for you on your doorstep. There are plenty of cultural and sporting activities to enjoy with friends and family in the surrounding area. Ground floor: living room with open kitchen, 1 bedroom (2 beds 90x200) with en-suite bathroom, linen room, separate WC. 1st floor: 4 bedrooms (1-2: 3 beds 90x190, 3-4: 1 bed 140x190 with en-suite bathroom), bathroom, 2 separate WCs. Additional equipment: freezer, DVD player, washing machine, cot/high chair. Wood included. Not included: oil-fired heating, electricity, optional bed linen (10? per pair), optional bathroom/household linen, optional end-of-stay cleaning (100?). Internet access. Attractions: the village of Asnières sur Vègre and its church, Solesmes abbey. Although we don't have the "Tourism and Disability" label, our gite does have facilities to enable people with reduced mobility or other disabilities to stay with us. First of all, although the surrounding area is made of fine gravel, there is an access ramp to the brick and wood terrace. The first floor is very large, with no door to move from one room to another, but just a wide opening, so you can move around without too much trouble. There's also a bedroom on this level, with a door wider than an ordinary door, and an adjoining shower room featuring a raised toilet with a bar on the left, and a large walk-in shower. Additional cleaning charge: 150?
