Illuminations, Résonnances | Château des Bretonnières

As part of the Thélème cultural season, culture in the heart of nature at Château des Bretonnières in Erbrée. After more than 100 concerts in Europe, Morocco and India? to some 10,000 spectators, the Résonnances ensemble stops off at Thélème for a luminous night. "The aim here is to revive a great tradition of classical music that is virtually absent today: unwritten music. Inspired by ancient music, which we combine with guitar and cello compositions, our melodies are created by playing. They are born in and through improvisation, from the meeting of our instruments. Each of the places we travel through is for us, the musicians, a setting that makes our compositions resonate even more loudly." A program based on early music texts. Melodies inspired by the scansion of words, the rhythm of phrases, the meaning of Italian, English, French and Judeo-Spanish texts. Secular tunes that recount universal destinies and torments: love, separation, loyalty, friendship? Sacred tunes that invite us to introspection, transcendence and enlightenment?
