For larger groups, Les Petits Blés d'or can accommodate an additional 2 people on the first floor (gîte accessible to people with reduced mobility). Parking spaces are available nearby, as is a 1,000m² garden, part of which is devoted to the small gîte. Local shops are 4.7km away in Courcité, and even further away in Villaines la Juhel, 9km away. Discover the Alpes Mancelles (15km), climb to the top of the Mont des Avaloirs lookout, the highest point of the Armorican massif. The paths are well-marked, the countryside is unspoilt and you'll discover many beautiful viewpoints. You can also visit Saint-Cénéri le Gerei, classified as one of France's most beautiful villages, Fresnay sur Sarthe, a "Petite cité de caractère", or Saint Léonard des Bois, which also offers a wide range of sporting activities: canoeing, tree climbing, mountain bike trails... Sillé le Guillaume, an ancient medieval fortress, offers a peaceful town with restaurants and shops, as well as a lake in the heart of the forest, home to the Coco beach (swimming and water sports). As you can see, Saint Aubin du Désert, a village in the Mayenne region, is ideally situated to take full advantage of the Alpes Mancelles, straddling 3 départements: Mayenne, Orne and Sarthe. The nearest major town for trains or golf is Alençon, just 31km away. You could even decentralize your whole family or friends and rent the modernly designed village hall to organize your events.
