BALADE POUSSETTE A SAINT DIE

Take a family stroll through the streets of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges and discover part of the town's history. The tour starts in the Parc Jean Mansuy, at the foot of the Tour de la Liberté. On the Tower side, follow the path under the trees to the Monument aux Morts. You'll pass under the Torii, the Japanese gate that takes you from the real world to the world of dreams. Continue to the entrance to Rue Thiers and walk along it to Place de la Cathédrale. Here, enjoy the benches, the landscaped areas, the fountain and the view of the Cathedral (you can go inside to admire Jean Bazaine's architecture and stained-glass windows). Don't forget to pay a visit to the oldest and most sedentary Déodatian: the Cathedral lime tree! It's said to have been planted as far back as 1350! Then retrace your steps to the entrance to rue Thiers (on the Grand Café side) and turn right into rue d'Amérique, as far as the small rue de la Colombière. Join rue Carbonnar to return opposite the Tour de la Liberté. There, if you wish, you can push open the door of La Boussole, a recently inaugurated media library, to extend your family's enjoyment. Exhibitions, games and play areas await you, as does the Tourist Office. To round off the stroll, we invite you to visit the magnificent Simone Veil garden and its huge play area for the whole family. It's a great time for everyone!
