Le Bois Planté

The departure and return point is located at the Pâtis leisure area on the outskirts of the village in the direction of Mézilles. (D/A) On leaving the leisure area, turn right onto Allée des Marronniers. Follow this road, keeping your eye on the Centre Vipassana sign. To do this, pass the level crossing (vélo-rail), then, after Les Clausses, turn left and climb up to pass Les Pinons. Leave Les Bindeux on your left. Follow a wood on your left, then a lagoon on your left. (1) Leave the road and take the path opposite to the crossroads at the entrance to the wood. (2) Turn left, skirting Bois de la Boulassière on your right, and ignore the left-hand path to Bois Planté a little further on. Continue to the next track on the right. (3) Continue straight ahead through Bois de Pimelle (left-hand fence) and Bois des Frins to the hamlet of Les Frins. (4) Continue along the road until you reach a T-junction. (5) Turn left to the crossroads with the D132. (6) Cross with care and turn left, keeping to the left-hand shoulder. Reach a crossroads (water tower on your right), go straight on for about 100 m to the last houses. (7) Take the right-hand path with a gîte on your right. (8) Cross the road and take the path opposite. At the crossroads, turn right and then immediately left. (9) Turn left and then right (the paths are not shown on the IGN map). Follow the woodland edge to Les Usages. Take the lane on the right and leave the next one on the right to reach a crossroads. (10) Turn left for about 250 m. Turn left towards La Grilloterie. In front of the property fence, turn right onto the road. Go through a wood, then along its edge to reach the road. (11) Turn left and continue along the right-hand side of an open area which ends in a wooded area. A 1st path appears on the right. (12) Take it, keeping to the edge of the wood, then cross it. This leads to a wide cross-country track. (13) Turn right. Cross a road and continue ahead on a winding path, narrow in places. You will come to a well with the buildings of an old farmhouse behind it. (14) Go downhill on the tarmac track and rejoin the road. Turn left. Keep to the road and, at the bus shelter, head for the level crossing. Cross it to reach the Pâtis leisure area (D/A).
