Like the Red Kite, present on this territory, come and contemplate, from the Harol viewpoint, the ecological continuities (hedges and streams, for example) representing reservoirs of biodiversity. You can take a sheltered break at two points along the route, as indicated on the map. 1 Take the road ( > caution) that runs alongside the cemetery. At the crossroads, turn left. 2 Leave the track on your right and continue along the road. Keep right at the next junction. 3 Turn left onto a track that runs around Haut du Niaux (411 m) [ > viewpoint], then becomes tarmac. At Haut Bruet, reach a bend. 4 Take a footpath to the left, then a road which you follow to the right until you reach a junction at Rue. Turn right onto Rue des Vergers and, after about 1.4 km, reach a fork in the road. 5 Turn left onto the white track and reach a crossroads at Martinval. Take the right-hand track. Go straight ahead at a bend. Shortly afterwards, turn right onto an access road to Saurupt and, about 900 m further on, reach the start of a track on the right, just before a copse. 6 Follow this path through the bocage [ > shelter with picnic table] and, after a long stretch, comes out onto the road. 2 Turn left to return to the starting point.
