Le chemin au fil de l'eau

Signposted walk N°45. The CM1-CM2 class from Dampierre-sous-Bouhy has put together a walking trail for you. This route will help you discover the landscapes of the Puisaye and its many watering holes. We wish you a pleasant walk, and hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Start from Place de l'Église Saint-Firmin. (D/A) Take Rue de la Suchette. Go forward about 200 m and turn right onto the path known in the village as "Le chemin des chèvres". It's an uphill climb to a crossroads. (1) Then take the path that goes straight ahead, leaving the hamlet of Dominon on your left. Continue straight ahead until you reach the road on your right. Walk about 400 m, keeping to the right-hand shoulder, until you find a path crossing the fields on the left. (2) Carefully cross the road to reach the hamlet of Les Marandes. Before reaching the road, turn immediately right onto a shady track and follow it to the hamlet of Moulin Gros Bois. (3) At the road, turn right and, shortly afterwards, take a track to the left. You'll come to a crossroads. (4) Follow this track to the right. It runs alongside a fairly wet area on the left. Reach a junction of four paths. Go left, downhill and uncovered, until you reach the hamlet of Les Méris. (5) Turn right and stay on the D251 for about 300 metres. After a street on the left, a path emerges, still on the left. Follow it downhill and ford a stream. Then begins a narrow path through the woods, overlooking the Vallée de la Noue, to reach a hairpin junction. (6) Turn left up the hill (it's almost as if you're turning around). Follow the path to the road and continue along the track opposite (EDF transformer on the right). (7) Leave this track at the fork in the road leading to Métairie Piot, and take the dirt track opposite, part of which is dotted with trees. Reach the road at La Tuilerie d'Angelier. (8) Take the left-hand road. Leave the street on your left, which leads to Les Miraux and Le Petit Angelier. Quickly reach a crossroads signposted on the left to l'Étang d'Angelier. (9) A 500 m round-trip brings you to this pond and a pleasant picnic area. Continue on this slightly uphill road. At the T junction, turn right and continue for approx. 200 m. At the next T-junction, turn left. Go straight on to the lane leading to Moulin Bléneau. Forget the track leading up to Les Cordes and go straight ahead. (10) At the four-way junction, turn right towards Les Pasquiers. Cross the Malaise on the road bridge and climb up to a house. Take the path on the left. Arrive at a ford. (11) Cross it by the stone footbridge, pass the few houses of Les Forges and follow the left-hand road up to the crossroads. Carefully cross the road to head towards Les Marandes for about 100 m, where you'll find a path starting off to the right. Follow it uphill to reach a road. (12) Just before this road, turn right onto a level track. Reach the D114. Cross it carefully and take the opposite lane. At the crossroads, turn right and the road ends in a path. Take note of the pretty view over the village of Dampierre. (1) Turn right and drive down to the first houses in Dampierre-sous-Bouhy. At the road, turn left and enjoy the view of the church on your way back (D/A).
