He has won numerous awards, including the Eurovision National Prize for Young Spanish Musicians, the Prize of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Granada, and the Prize of the Catalan Music Palace of Barcelona... He performs in the most prestigious concert halls as a soloist or with orchestra: Auditorio Nacional de Musica de Madrid, Konzerthaus de Berlin, Gewandhaus de Leipzig, Elbphilharmonie de Hambourg, Philharmonie de Saint-Pétersbourg; the cathedrals of Cologne, Westminster, Bogota, Mexico, the church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris. His repertoire ranges from early music to works by contemporary composers. Between 2014 and 2016, he performed Bach?s complete works for organ in Madrid and Barcelona. Juan de la Rubias is titular organist at Barcelona?s famous Sagrada Familia and professor of improvisation at the Higher School of Music of Catalonia.
