FOUR DE BOURDAYA

Constructed of brick and tile, it is one of a series of kilns built on the right bank of the Garonne River in Gallo-Roman times. The Bourdaya tile-making kilns were discovered in 1968 by a team of archaeologists from the Mure region. The results of these excavations can be seen at the Musée Clément Ader et les Grands Hommes in Muret.
