Our workshops for Première Pages encounters offer toddlers the chance to discover albums. The association?s animators mischievously present book readings for the children present and their families, along with a few nursery rhymes and finger plays. Then it's time for "Livres en liberté", where each child is encouraged to choose one or more albums, to read on his or her own or to ask an adult for help: the children handle the books as they please, under the watchful and supportive gaze of all the adults present. Who are these workshops for? For all children aged three days to three years, accompanied by a parent, grandparent, older siblings or early childhood professionals. Why books? Because sharing stories is a great way to meet others and discover new cultures. Because reading a story to a toddler creates a bond between adult and child. Because listening to a story is a pleasure! Aren't they too little? It?s never too early to nurture a child?s psychic activity, thought, language, imagination and curiosity curiosity.
