From 1937 onwards, the Spanish Civil War generated exoduses, and the number of assembly centers in Lozère multiplied. On April 26, 1939, the Langogne camp was set up in response to the public authorities' desire to shelter and control an ever-increasing number of refugees. 1152 refugees passed through the camp between April 1939 and August 1940. Conference organized by Les Amis du Patrimoine.
