LES COTEAUX DE MARCIAC

1 - From the Tourist Office, on the right as you leave the Office, join the rue St Pierre at the corner of the pharmacy, 200m after turn right, 50m after fork left. 2 - Take the rue des Lilas up to the old wash house, walk along the poplars, cross the stream on a footbridge, pass the irrigation lake and follow the path to the houses. Go straight up to the hillside, cross a farmyard, turn right onto the 2.5 km long communal road (ridge path) which overlooks the Bouès and Arros valleys. 3 - At the "Bayle" farm, go down the track towards the D255 (Juillac village). Turn right 250m later, take a left on a communal road, 20m further on turn right on a path. At the crossroads, turn left on a stony track to the D3, for 1.2 km. 4 - Cross the D3 (beware of danger), go straight ahead on a track which goes up to the hamlet, at the top turn left, leave the church of Tourdun on your right, 200m after the place called "Talabère" go down on the right for 750m and fork on the right to arrive at a communal way. Take it on the right, pass in front of the town hall of Tourdun 150m later turn on the left on a path of crest. 5 - Opposite the "Acunca" fitness centre, go down the path on the right, at the bottom fork left to reach the lake of Marciac. Cross the D3 (beware of danger) along the lake on a path then take the footpath that connects the leisure centre to the centre of the bastide.
