France > Grand Est > Moselle > 57200 > Blies-Ébersing > Rue du Val de Blies
An information panel on the circuit is set up at the start of the hike. Follow the signs with a green ring in both directions to find your way. The route begins by passing through Blies-Ebersing, then climbs the hillside to reach the plateau overlooking the Blies Valley. On these heights, the forest is omnipresent and offers its coolness and tranquillity to the walker. Rest assured, the wild boar, emblem of Blies-Ebersing, which lives in these shady spots, remains very discreet and inconspicuous. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to take the Bliestalbahn, the old Blies Valley railroad line. This line was created in 1879, under the German annexation, to link Sarreguemines to Hombourg (Germany). It was so named because it ran along the Blies for most of its length. In 1991, the closure of the last service (Reinheim - Hombourg) put an end to the existence of this line. Today, the line has been upgraded for cyclists and pedestrians. In addition to two engineering structures, a tunnel and a bridge, other remnants of the line still line the cycle path.
