Mentioned only in 1370, Frauenberg Castle was probably built at the end of the 13th century. It was dismantled in 1634. The castle housed two kilns of an earthenware factory which operated in Frauenberg from 1785 to 1791, then transferred to Vaudrevange (Wallerfangen, Saarland), this earthenware factory was at the origin of the famous ceramic firm Villeroy and Boch. From 1793, the passage of the troops completed the ruin of the castle throughout the 19th century.
