CIRCUIT LE SENTIER DES BORNES

Departure is from the car park on the left of the Col du Bonhomme hostel. Take the D 148 for 40 metres in the direction of Lac Blanc, then turn right to begin the forest path which follows the route of the former Franco-German border of 1870. After 150 m, you find the first boundary marker of the circuit, bearing the number 2701. The markers are engraved with an "F" of Frankreich on the west side and the "D" of Deutschland on the other. Follow the track marked out by the different markers whose numbers follow one another. After marker no. 2708, you avoid the pothole by going to the left. Continue the path straight on towards Haut Feignet, cross the forest road of Le Page to climb to the top of Louschbach. Halfway up the slope, follow the markings (black vertical rectangle) and take the path that leads back to the D 148. Follow the edge of the road of the Crêtes towards the pass of Louschbach. The "Sentier des bornes" section ends here after having counted nearly 40 milestones (some are missing). The return is by the path (G.R.531) which starts on the left of the pass, marked by a blue rectangle which winds under the D148 and returns to the starting circuit, 500 meters from the finish at the Col du Bonhomme.
