BALADE : LA CASCADE DU RUDLIN

France > Grand Est > Vosges > 88230 > Plainfaing > 17 rue de Gérardmer

Start of the walk in front of the ladies' pond. The water of this waterfall falls, or rather slides from the top of a 10 m rock into a basin that it has dug itself, to jump from rock to rock down the slope. As if nature had wanted to adorn this place with the rich glow of the most beautiful flowers. The solitude of the place, the cone of green fir trees, the sound of roaring water and finally the wild beauty of the site, bring the soul to a recollection, and one feels how weak and small man is in the face of the sublime grandeur of nature. If you climb the narrow and steep path that runs along the torrent, you will find the upper waterfall a hundred metres higher. The stream divides into two branches where the water, in its fast course, sometimes widening like a silvery sheet, sometimes narrowing to fall in a single mass, forms an uninterrupted succession of small waterfalls that are all pleasant surprises!
