France > Grand Est > Moselle > 57200 > Bliesbruck
An information panel on the circuit is set up at the start of the hike. Follow the signs with a yellow disc in both directions to find your way. This hiking trail is dotted with historical landmarks: the unmissable Bliesbruck-Reinheim European Archaeological Park sheds light on the Celtic and Gallo-Roman eras; the ruins of Frauenberg Castle recall the Middle Ages; from Bliesbruck to Blies-Ebersing, you'll have the opportunity to ride along a cycle path laid out on the route of an old railroad where steam trains steamed through the valley. Created in 1879, during the German annexation (1870-1918), it linked Sarreguemines to Hombourg (Germany). In 1991, the closure of the last service (Reinheim-Hombourg) put an end to the existence of this line. Sur les Rives de l?Histoire? follows the river Blies on both sides. The river forms a natural border between France and Germany. Along the way, you'll visit a number of historic sites in the Blies valley, taking you on a pleasant journey back in time in an unspoilt natural environment.
