It echoes distant countries and animal diversity. Presentation of the artist and his approach: Christophe Batardière began his career as a sculptor-designer at the age of 30. He creates sculptures in metal and stainless steel. His approach is close to that of a fashion designer, with a technical and sophisticated approach to the realization. His works are odes to nature, to its diversity and complexity. In parallel to his animal sculptures and anthropomorphic masks, he is evolving towards more monumental works. Description : BETTA SPLENDENS (sanded steel, hence permanent orange aspect) With this sculpture, the artist wished to give a touch of unknown and exoticism to the banks, since Betta Splendens is a tropical fish. It echoes far-off lands and animal diversity. Presentation of the artist and his/her approach : Christophe Batardière was 30 when he started working as a sculptor-designer.
