Artist : Florent Maussion Date création/Creation time : 2017 Matériaux/Materials : Acrylic paint Description: Painted on the three sides of the base of the Montjean-sur-Loire bridge, this monumental fresco was created during the Montjean-sur-Loire sculpture symposium. Presentation of the artist and his approach: Born in Maine-et-Loire, Florent Maussion is a self-taught painter. He obtained numerous prizes in painting competitions, including the first at the age of 16. After studying at a graphic arts school in Nantes, he began his career as a professional painter at 18. The painter travels; he realizes numerous works of decoration and frescoes with gigantic surfaces, but also courtroom sketches retranscribing certain moments of judicial life. In 2007, he obtained the official title of Painter to the Armed Forces. Description : THE BRIDGE CARPS (painted fresco)This monumental fresco on three sides of the bridge base was painted during the symposium in Montjean-sur-Loire. Presentation of the artist and his/her approach ; Florent Maussion was born in the Maine-et-Loire department and is a self-taught man. He won many prizes in painting competitions (his first one at the age of 16). After studying at the School of Graphic Art in Nantes, he started working as a professional; he was 18 then. He travels a lot, creates many decoratings and huge frescos; he also does hearing drawings recording some judicial life moments. In 2007, he was nominated the official Army Painter.
