BALADE POUSSETTES A L'ETANG DE LA BALLASTIERE

Enjoy a pleasant family walk around the Ballastière pond and discover the wild flora and fauna that line its banks. From the commune of La Houssière, take the impasse de la Ballastière. A parking lot is available at the end of this impasse. The start of the circuit is signposted from the bottom of the parking lot. After a few hundred metres, the first fork in the road leads you down a gentle slope to the right. Continue along the pond, where you'll see the arboretum's information panels. After crossing a magnificent wooden footbridge, take a few minutes to admire the pond and the little creatures that live there. Did you know that the pond is home to a specific breed of wading bird? It's the macroule coot, an adept of large expanses of water and an excellent diver! You'll find information panels along the way, and at the end of the walk, a play area will delight your children.
