"Chez Auguste is a quiet country gîte ideally located for a family break: 1h from Rennes, Angers, Vitré or Laval. Nearby towns include Segré en Anjou Bleu (25 min), Craon (20min) or Chateaubriant (20 min). The gîte is all on one level, with a 43m² living room extending onto a veranda with table soccer and small bar. Panoramic windows open onto fields and meadows. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 with a 160*200 bed and a desk, and 2 with 2 twin 90*200 beds each. The decor is a surprising blend of modern and antique, with a healthy dose of creativity to create an astonishing result! Perhaps you'll sample some of the farm's milk, or other products depending on the season. The gîte is on a working farm, so you'll sometimes see machinery passing by, or catch a glimpse of cows. If you're interested, the owners can show you around the farm. The nearest shops and services are in Pouancé, 5.4km or Martigné Ferchaud 13 km. The Pouancé market is ideal for local produce, as is the renowned Guerche de Bretagne market. Leisure center with supervised beach in summer at étang de Saint Aubin de Pouancé, 6km, children's playground, kayak and pedal-boat hire. La Rincerie leisure park at La Selle Craonnaise, 17km, offers a beach, wake-park, swin golf... Numerous hiking trails, including one that passes by the gîte and reaches the Pouancé pond. An ancient mining territory, there are many places where you can retrace its history: walks on sites such as Bois 1 and Bois 2, the Mine Bleue amusement park, the slate museum at Renazé... A land of legends, you can discover the Roche aux Fées site and the Enigmaparc amusement park. Ask your hosts for advice on how to discover the area.
