CONCERT MUSIQUE SACRÉE À LA COUR DES GONZAGUE

The main focus of the Mass is on pieces from the Ordinary, taken from Claudio Monteverdi?s collection (15671643), Messa a quattro voci et psaumes, assembled and published posthumously in 1650, but also featuring Girolamo Cavazzoni (ca. 1520-1577), Girolamo Frescobaldi (1583-1643) and Maurizio Cazzati (ca. 1620-1677), all architects of the history of music at the Gonzaga court. This concert is presented by the Ricercare Chamber Choir, under the direction of Romano Adami.
