DE LA GIMONE A LA LAUZE EN VTT

From the mountain bike base Les Tuileries in Simorre (next to the entrance of the stadium and the campsite). Follow the blue MTB markers n°1. Route of 24 km. Difference in altitude 309m Cross the river Gimone behind the campsite (follow the blue markings N° 1). Follow the river to the Larrouy wood in St Elix d'Astarac When you arrive at the wood, you will admire the work "Kazé" ("wind" in Japanese) which looks like a tornado held in balance. Cross the wood, cross the D12 and continue to the tarmac road to Saramon At the place called "au Bout du bois" go down to the Lauze valley which you then follow for 7.5 kilometres Cross the D 129 and at 800 metres, go up to "En Herranet". The descent into the Gimone valley is not a problem; cross the D12 at the pigeon house (stop) and after crossing the river you return to the stadium following the blue N° 1 signpost.
