CIRCUIT VTT DU KAZE AU YANE

MTB circuit of 45 km from the MTB base Les Tuileries in Simorre. Route n° 2 red. Cross the river Gimone behind the campsite (follow the red markings N°2), continue your way, follow the river until the wood of Larrouy in St Elix While crossing the wood you will admire the work of KAZE (wind in Japanese) which looks like a tornado maintained in balance Cross the D12 and continue until you reach the tarred road to Saramon. At the end of the wood, go down to the Lauze valley and follow it for a few kilometres Cross the river and go up to Moncaut, you have a magnificent view of the abbey of Faget Abbatial, one of the oldest in Gascony Continuing your way you pass by a beautifully restored windmill to descend to Lamaguére where you can see the ruins of the 12th century castle Join the Aguin wood, go down to Le Lambert on the Arrats valley and go up to Le Plan, cross the wood, pass the ford and go up to En Herranet. The descent to the Gimone valley is not a problem, cross the D12 at the pigeonnier (mark the stop) and after crossing the river you go up there in the direction of Villefranche. Cross the D238, go up the dirt track and turn left at the end of the hill, the ridge path offers you one of the most beautiful views of the countryside and the Pyrenees By following the red markings N°2 you arrive at the Higués wood that you cross and go up to the Gruos (magnificent viewpoint). Go down to the D 129, pass the Riou Perrin (small stream). You continue by the way of embayle and Rajogats (high paleontological place) to arrive at the mill of loriot The last very beautiful but very fast descent "du coucassé" will bring you back to the stadium.
