Charming walk, between the Beauceronne countryside and the Essonne valley.
Straddling the Beauce and Gâtinais regions, the commune of Briarres-sur-Essonne has always been devoted to agriculture. The vast cultivated land slopes slowly down from the Beauce plateau to the Essonne, interspersed with woods, coppices and calcareous plains. The landscape, formed by the various cultivation techniques, offers a diversity that contrasts with the vast expanses of the Beauce region, whose water table flows slowly into the Essonne via numerous resurgences that are very sensitive to climate change.
